1·6 days agoYeah. I was just hoping it was more plainly stated. I think what little subtly remains will be lost on many Americans

8·7 days agoNo state that is not a member of NATO shall be allowed to establish its own manned or unmanned military installations in Greenland nor shall they be allowed a persistent presence of military forces in Greenland, unless otherwise agreed by the Parties.
Given the threat to national security and public order posed by increased efforts by adversaries to expand influence and control in Greenland, the Parties agree that states or investors from a state that is not a member of NATO, a NATO partner, or an EU member state shall not be allowed to have (i) control, (ii) significant influence, or (iii) access to non-public information that may constitute a threat to national security or public order within Particularly Sensitive Sectors or Activities in the territory of Greenland (including the Territorial Waters), unless agreed between the Parties that the activities of such states or investors would not constitute a threat to national security or public order.
It’s not as plainly laid out, but what you said is probably how it would happen.

6·8 days agoI’ve been trying to tell people this for a while, but we rant about how much the narcissistic billionaires suck (true). But if truly believe they are narcissistic, why don’t we leverage that narcissism to get the right thing done?

Europe@feddit.org•Germany revokes carbon credits from 30 projects in China over 'suspicious' reportingEnglish
4·1 month agoI worked in an oil company in renewables. Leaders used to laugh over dinner about how this was all green washing. There were hints that they manipulated data to claim extra credits from California.
I reported this to a couple groups, but nothing will probably happen.

3·2 months agoOr a better encryption scheme. I personally like seeing all my medical data in one place, BUT it has the obvious risks.
You could have a key encryption system such that medical data is encrypted with the public keys of the patient and relevant doctors on entry into the system. A patient could share with a doctor my encrypting with that doctor’s keys.
It could be handled transparently to the user with keys stored locally or something like a derived key from a password.
