Me too! I never went back to Reddit though. I lost my account with rif that was carefully built over years. I still can’t figure out lemmy, fediverse, whatever it’s called. The tech is not something I care about. I want a simple and easy to use interface, like rif. But this is 1000 times better than dodging ads, bots and trolls on an over-capitalized website.

I believe the point of this version is to show the magnitude of change. They could have done a line graph with the same data but that would give different information perspective. It’s not as visually appealing this way but this is how metrics are evaluated.

Sure, but they are knowable. They are not behind the curtain.

Words I have heard in real life is that there are people we aren’t powerful enough or wealthy enough to know about. Having a boogey man keeps the fear and powerlessness strong.

But is the most recent possibility. Probably the only one I can remember in my adult life.
