gnu screen is just a different program than tmux. they do the same thing though
Then you should know about methadone and other harm reduction measures intended to help wean people from their addiction or make them safer while they are still under its grip. This is the same idea.
I appreciate the sentiment, but this is less beer versus liquor and more a lethal dose of rat poison vs corn syrup. Both bad, but one a fair but more damaging than the other. (simplifying a lot & not the greatest metaphor, but you get it)
Good luck with sobriety! o7
I think perhaps you should look into this more.

Combustion creates lots of nasty chemicals. Sure vaping has nasty chemicals sometimes too, but if it is properly regulated and studied, it appears to be a great method of harm reduction. Granted, we should take steps to ensure children aren’t tantalized by them as best we can, but let’s not shit on harm reduction.
I take it you have never taken nicotine in any capacity then. This is not “nic sick” but that “first hit of the day.” Happened to me and everyone I knew when i smoked cigs, and when I kicked it for vaping, and when I kicked that for gum, patches, and lozenges. It’s lightheadedness caused by replacing all your air with not air AND the head rush of nicotine.
That said OP should kick the habit if they can anyway (:
Not only can it be bypassed, but anti cheat with kernel level access can be used to distribute malware or spyware if it is compromised. Whether your personal anecdotes reflect the actual statistics or not, these anti cheats are dangerous and are not impenetrable.
YNAB is a glorified spreadsheet and did not import past data. I found it exceedingly tedious and not helpful. I am currently using Monarch and it’s far, far better. It’s a bit pricey, but so far as I’ve found, it’s the best.
They give you a link that allows others to try monarch for 30 days (rather than their egregiously short trial of like 7 days):
https://www.monarchmoney.com/referral/pereb3twgc
I get a discount if you buy after the trial, but there’s no need.
I’ll have to check out lunch money too
Same as the paper white? I saw another commenter say the same. Indeed sounds like the move!
Has been the same for many years. If they started popping up during reading or something I would not recommend at all of course. Wasn’t worth $30 to me and I don’t regret it so far these last few years (:
I keep mine in airplane mode most of the time to avoid getting new ads too often. Also the only ads are on the lock screen which is extremely unobtrusive if you’re looking to save a few bucks
I was a flac snob when I was younger, and I can say with certainty: 320kbps mp3s or even VBR are indistinguishable from opus or even lossless except when listening very very very closely on high end hardware. I’m very into audio still and production etc. That’s not to say opus isn’t better or higher quality, but the difference it makes is decidedly negligible to the vast majority of listeners. I guarantee that almost everyone would fail to do better than a coin flip a/b testing these technologies on the same audio recording.
I did that for years and had more wonderfully nice and thankful calls than I did bad ones, but man it sure feels like they evened out anyway.
I’m so tired of the media circus shit. I wish we could elect someone utterly boring and pragmatic :(
I’d rather have a decent person who doesn’t r*pe minors
interesting. ty
It’s true that malpractice is a thing, and lord knows I’ve met plenty of doctors ranging from asshole to idiot. You’re especially at risk if you’re a female or minority which is just another layer of bullshit with healthcare outcomes. That said, I’ll take the person with a decade of school and required practice over a chiro any day. Sucks that it’s still something of a crapshoot :/
Same here
The level of pedantry in this thread is insane lmao. If grammar and spelling make your post indecipherable then sure, it’s annoying. Otherwise you’re being a whiny elitist illustrating your ignorance of the context of the written word. Not to mention some folks in this thread bemoaning people spelling incorrectly or using “wrong” grammar on purpose – ya know, like black people on the internet or the younger generations.
