This 4D chess MAGA kept talking about turned out to be a simplified version of Tac Tac Toe. And he’s losing.

Canned food or not, to project power by riding horses requires that there are actual horses nearby to steal/buy/domesticate. I live in the sticks, and horses are rare even here. You can be as powerful as you want, but you would still not be able to will abhorse into existence.

I don’t think horses are common enough to be a common post-apocalyptic beast of burden. Besides, the apocalypse itself would probably cause food scarcity, and feeding the horse would most likely instead turn into eating the horse.
But yes, some elite factions m8ght use them for riding, but I suspect it would be very rare. I think The Postman, despite being an awful movie, has elements of realism, in that Holnists (or whatever the anti-Kevin faction was called) would usetheir power to gain access to horses. Or maybe their founder owned a horse ranch during the apocalypse and that’s why they’re powerful.

Incorrect. I am the vegetarian authority.

Many of Stephensons books are like that. I like Snow Crash for the world building that obviously went into the writing, but you have to figure it out along the way.

Both of those translations require multiple words. And no, the gryffindor dining room is not hyggelig.
Also, it’s not only in danish. Somehow the word became famous as a Danish word.

My usual gaming position is in my livingroom couch, keyboard in lap, mouse on the pillow next to me, and feet on the table next to my laptop. Mouse works fine in the couch. As long as it’s not a reflective surface, it should work fine. Mine is cloth, so it’s no problem.
Protip: I travel a lot, and often find myself in hotel rooms, trying to operate a mouse while in bed. Because I always travel with a plastic cutting board (regular white one I found at a shopping mall in Bahrain). It works well as a mouse pad, for when the sheets are no longer stretched perfectly flat. It also fits perfectly the bottom of the pelicase in which I carry my laptop.

The important part is that the chud party didn’t do as well as expected nor as well as last time.

“It’ll all work out brilliantly”

Off the top of my head:

Kind of, but referring more to the building itself.

Fjøs is specifically where animals are kept. Låve is more generic, but it’s usually where you store stuff such as hay and produce. Sometimes the two are combined into one building and It’s common to refer to the ground floor as Fjøs, and the floor above as Låve.

Fjøs is where farm animals are kept. “Barn” is more general and translates to “Låve”, while Fjøs doesn’t really have an English translation.
Nisse is a mythological creature that is part goblin, part santa, part Gnome, but not really either of them. They’re usually benign and pretty cool.
Hygge (noun) /hyggelig (adjective) means having a cosy, lighthearted or fun atmosphere, usually in company of others
EDIT: By the way, Nissen lives in the Låve

I don’t know in general, but in my particular case it’s been smoothly sailing. Lenovo Legion (2024 edition), Intel CPU, and nvidia 4060. Linux Mint.

Yes. Vulkan is crossplatform, dx is not, so that’s one thing less for proton to interpretation for you.

“Eat any good books lately?”

I got an emergency appointment within hours so they could do a temporary hotfix to relieve the pain so I could at least function as a human again, then I came back in after a week or so for the permanent fix.
