Does it not work if I havent rated animes?

Codeberg is the forgejo software i just forget how to spell forgejo and i like the name codeberg way more
They should really self host their own codeberg instance
EDIT: looks like they do now! https://git.suyu.dev/suyu/suyu
There should be a screenshot of the interface on the homepage not just a bended phone. Cool idea though I hope this is implemented by Patreon and Gumroad style services
ProtonPass. They’re a company thats been around for a while now, has multiple revenue streams, and has a food track record on security and open sourcing.
Another one is Bitwarden but iirc they only have the one revenue source although iirc its a tiny team so they dont need much
offtopic but do you know who owns lemmy.com? It points to your instance and im confused why an instance isnt run using that domain instead of pointing it to yours
I dont want to block full federation i want to block image federation from other servers so when the big ones are attacked with csam my server doesnt download it. If someone uploads an image to a community on my server does it not federate and get downloaded by my server?
“Anyways they would have taken too long to implement” seems like a very odd take considering this is an ongoing issue that is pretty damn important. Some features that should be available is for instances to wipe images from certain dates, “muting” instances to prevent storing any images from instances that are not on an approve list and prevent users outside this list from uploading images to your instance, and an option to prevent any user outside your instance from uploading images to your instance.
Theres many mod tools like these that need priority right now but it seems like they keep getting pushed away
Stack Overflow employs it for moderation and quality control.
Ive had almost every question ive ever posted on stack overflow sites locked claiming the question is answered elsewhere even though the question they point to is not the same as mine. Its so frustrating posting on those sites cuz everyone claims i should do what im asking some other convoluted way or that the question is the same as others which are outdated or completely irrelevant.
This is great news! I might switch back over from proton pass if the email Alias generation is also as good as Proton’s
You should write a description of what it is in your post
Its “A local-first, encrypted, note taking application with tree-like structures, all written and saved in your computer”
The best thing about bluesky is they have the custom feeds and now you can have your following feed include some posts from your custom feeds. So its a mix of “following” (chronological) and for you (custom feed) which is great
No one cares about the color the care about the fact that if the color is green that means sending videos will be garbage quality and they can’t reduce texts over data and can’t FaceTime or get replies in line. Which is fair because androids somehow still use sms and they finally started getting rcs with encryption and now google already started using the data for their ai
Ohh ok that’s fair. I just feel like barely anyone will remember to use it
Like itd be convenient if they worked whenever someone included a wiki link. So people didn’t have to remember to mention its username
Testing to see if the subscription bot works with Voyager’s auto complete @PostWatchBot@lemy.lol
Does it work if i use Voyagers auto complete function for @‘s? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hello_Internet
I think bots like these should work without having to be mentioned since they’re so useful and unobtrusive.
It’s one of the few places to keep track of new developments of covid mitigations, studies on long covid simplified for laymen, new open source air purifiers, safe and affordable far uvc developments, people calling out the CDC’s constant terrible job at public health, the fact both political parties in the US are pretending millions aren’t going to continue to die and become disabled the more we ignore covid and long covid.
Twitter and yes, TikTok, are the only places theres active people talking about this especially in ways laymen can understand and take action on. Theres some subreddits (some ive made) but i hate visiting reddit now.
Mastodon has a few people but discovery on mastodon is terrible. No one uses hashtags cuz hashtags kinda suck and nothing is filtered or recommended based on who you follow and what they like or who they follow so you have to wade through too much irrelevant stuff.
Off topic: I prefer chronological feeds but they should have a user customizable option to have some recommended posts in between the chronological timeline for discovery. The Mammoth app is doing this but only for the For You feed which is not what I want because its 90% news articles from big publications. I want a chronological timeline with some recommended posts based on parameters i set like “x likes by friends of friends”, “user was recently followed by x amount of people I follow”, “x number of posts by this user were liked by y amount of people i follow”.
Waterfox has auto hide for different stuff and the next update brings a sidebar for vertical tabs similar to floorp (you can already enable it in about:config)
