you’re gonna get a LOT of opinions here. Try some out and find what you like the best. Personally, I run Dokuwiki, mostly because i can just zip the whole directory, and move it to another server or back it up a LOT easier than something like MediaWiki.

2·3 days agoI just spent $15 on an app to play my music from my navidrome, because I use it so much. I could have gone to another app (potentially free), but I like this one so much that i gave them their $15 for their hard work. For anyone interested, it’s Nautaline on iOS.

4·3 days agoif you have access to the file system, sed works well for renaming files and updating the links. Though admittedly, that’s not a very convenient way to to do it.
edit: and fucks up the page edit history a little too.

4·3 days agoI use DokuWiki, and i love that it’s plaintext files. it makes backing them up so much easier. I can literally just zip the directory, then upload to somewhere else.
I am the only user on it, and i don’t use too many advanced features, so I don’t know how it stacks up against other more advanced wikis, such as mediawiki or wiki.js. Though I do use a lot of plugins, such as the infobox plugin. I love that plugin. It doesn’t rival MediWiki’s infobox, but it does the job well enough for me.
Note: I only have about 300 pages, so i have no idea how it stacks up against thousands or millions of pages, like MediaWiki.

Congrats on the wedding! Hopefully many happy years to come!
I’m with you. One of my cats was scared fucking shitless at the shelter and i doubt anyone would have taken him due to the hissing and spitting. But I saw something in him and he’s been such a lovely cuddle bug since I took him out of the scary place. Anyway, I’m glad you have your lass. Give her a cuddle from this random internet weirdo :)
Aww. That’s sweet. Thank you for looking out for them :)
Cats: went to the cat shelter and chose them.
Though to be fair, only one of my cats chose me. The other I just fell in love with and had to take him even though he was hissing and scared and shit. He’s since turned into a cuddle bug
