WikiData is a database-oriented version of Wikipedia intended for categorising relations between concepts.
For example, Google (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q95) is “owned by” XXVI Holdings (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q100292691) since 2017.
XXVI Holdings similarly shows that it is owned by Alphabet Inc (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q20800404), which is owned by a list of people and entities with various different voting rights.
There is also the “Parent Organisation” relation (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P749) which links Google to Alphabet directly.
These should all be computer-readable.

The opening scene. Lots of movies had featured spaceships like the one we initially see fleeing. When it reveals the size of the star destroyer, we know that it’s going to be a new type of story.
For anyone thinking about carrying lock tools, watch some of Deviant’s videos about everyday tools - he recommends like 10 things that are more useful for opening locked doors (that you don’t have a key for) than lock picks.
Gravy trebuchet!
Not just in games - the famous infinite leverage glitch from wallstreetbets was ‘just following the rules’ - luckily it was website code rather than a smart contract so they could fix the rule before ControlTheNarrative ended up owning the entire US economy.

How is this bot going to decide which party is acting in bad faith (whether the file contents violate the spirit of the agreement) better than a human arbitrator?
Mandating that parties to a contract should all be on the same blockchain is surely no different than telling them that they all have to follow Australian law?
And in fact this is quite common - if you look at some contracts that you’ve agreed to in the internet age, they will usually specify a legal system - e.g. Delaware law or English law - to be used when interpreting the contract.
Didn’t France just ban flights between places that are joined by railways? Still needs to fix the growing move to private jets though.
The counter argument to that would be “why not just fund better schools?” We absolutely know how to make the population more intelligent, and it’s a bit weird that countries like UK and US are actively doing the opposite.
Next week: Why have Nescafé invented a new way to package coffee after their Nespresso pod lawsuit didn’t prevent third party compatible pods?

The Android keyboard changed a few years ago - it used to leave your word alone when you pressed space; now it will change your word to whatever the “AI” thinks.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:New_pages_patrol already does something like that to ensure all new pages get some minimum number of views to check the quality.
