No, it means “reactionary.” Expand your vocabulary.
Is it healthy, or is it just the way it is? What makes it healthy?
I’m relatively new to Linux and the FOSS scene, but I’m not sure how I feel about the unquestioning devotion to a single person. It seems antithetical to the entire philosophy.
Even if he was maybe right this time…
The dude did a complete 180 as soon as they heard from Linus, like daddy made his decision, and it’s final, or some shit…
Edit: To be clear, I understand why developers respect and listen to Linus… I just think there are fundamental issues with this kind of top-down management of such a colossal project, and the desire to defer to one person seems antithetical to the FOSS philosophy.
Nah you need to create a cipher in your head, then you tattoo the encrypted seed. Easier to remember than the seed itself, and only readable by you.
Maybe have a second tattoo to remind you what the cipher is lol. Then another for that one…
Monero if you need something that’s actually untraceable. However, I guess btc is more likely to hold its value in the long term.
I don’t begrudge you for not knowing this, it certainly wasn’t something that I was taught in school… But LGBTQ people, and trans people specifically, were among the first groups targeted by the Nazis in Weimar Germany.
I am well aware that communists were pretty high up on that list as well, but maybe there’s a reason why the LGBTQ stuff wasn’t taught to us in school…
Go ahead and do some of your own research on it if you don’t believe me.
How were the circumstances “MUCH different”? Do you think the Nazis happened overnight? Are you not aware of who they targeted first (trans people)?
Yeah, it’s kind of a bad take. Maybe we should teach people what the word actually means so that they can understand that the applies to everything they’re doing*
What do you do when those people are your family?
Easier said than done (though recent events have made it a little easier).
I would say that the initial problem here, is that people give a single shit what a 2000+ year old, bronze-age sex manual, has to say about literally fucking anything.
What a fucking stupid, useless reply.
Depends on how up-to-date your install image is. If you downloaded the ISO 6 months ago, chances are, the build you downloaded is out of date (doubly so if it’s Arch). Most installers have an online option that will download the updates and install the newest version, but if you don’t have access to the internet, then all you have is the data included in the ISO that you got 6 months ago.
Just opened it up to check… It is Arch. I was able to grab pacman in it, and use it to get fastfetch to confirm (as if I needed to at that point lol).
These days, probably scaffolding and big construction dumpsters.
Possibly related, but I was able to download a distrobox image of SteamOS through BoxBuddy. Dunno if it’s legit or what, but I was able to play games through it (though made no sense to). This was a week or two ago that I saw it on the dropdown when installing a new box.
Edit: I see other people in this thread mentioning some old steamos so maybe it’s that I dunno, maybe I will check later.
Right after? What year is it?
Our planet is literally dying, and humankind is going to be decimated (at least) directly due to the actions of corporations.
Waze was able to do it (before Google bought them).
I know pretty much nothing about iOS, but isn’t Safari actually considered a pretty decent browser? Can you not use ublock (or equivalent), and other privacy extensions, on Safari?
