Docker Hub is the bane of my existence lol. I updated every image I use that has github as alternative yesterday now giving time for my rate limiting to go down. Unfortunately still a few that are doxker hub only ironically including lemmy!

I added renovate to my project over the weekend. I got 26 PRs for updating things I have missed, so it is working well for most part!

The only issue I have with it are a few docker images come from docker hub and I am getting 429 response codes for pinning digests. Do you have any tips for renovate on this? Ideally I’d like it to just update and pin digests on the next update to avoid api hits.

I am doing a regex datasource for most of them since my k8s resources are in yaml files and found right now it strips - alpine and such from the version tags… Haven’t looked into this issue too much yet though.

If its at the end forever it might be because you are putting too much soap in.

My primary use would probably be a model for home assistant to reason what was said, and based reason what is desired like “Turn off all outlets” being said in the living room would turn them off. Or saying “its cold” to adjust the thermostat. Also hoping it would be able to figure out speech to text inaccuracies and reason what is wanted still. I think a smaller model would be an appropriate use for this also since response times should be on the quicker side.

With these new models is it worth trying it without a Nvidia GPU / running on CPU?

Next major version will support OAuth. If you wait till then there is probably providers that can do that maybe.

Lock down registrations so approval is needed and create your own service that does the invite stuff and call the Lemmy api to register the user / approvd them.

This blog post talks about the image proxying mode here It basically downloads the pictures temporarily. This wouldn’t account for your existing ones. Assuming you are on one of the most recent versions, you should be able to lookup and delete images on the admin UI as well, but image proxying would only apply to new content.

I didn’t see your Lemmy config much but have you looked at setting in Lemmy for pictrs?

This stores images temporarily on your pictrs instance, I am sitting at 8GB since this feature came out.

Power company was giving them away. It was weird they all had a musky smell to them.

I had power out with a newborn for like 5 days in the winter once… 30min sounds nice.

It seems to stay on on foldables when opened and then closed so looks like a nice turn off for me.

I had spectrum at my house like 6 times in 2 weeks. They redid all my coax house to pole. They had guys supposedly go out and check the street for issues. I get like 20 times a day where my latency shoots up. I play any MMO or online game I’ll have at least 1 disconnect but usually I get every 10 minutes.

It sucks, but on the bright side I may get the new fiber company in the area some time, they say my address is able to preorder but that’s been about a year now and nothing yet…
