She spent 2 yrs at McK 20+ yrs ago - hardly a personality-defining milestone, given how a lot of business students start their career in consulting.
Welcome to modern “journalism”, throwing together a few sentences based on twitter and reddit posts, without any research or asking experts.
I have been back occasionally when searching for some specific thing, and sometimes I checked r/all and my former favorite subs. My overall observation:
Overall, reddit is still useful as an occasional information source for checking public opinion/sentiment on specific things, but for me, it’s appeal as a general “time-waster” social media, where I keep scrolling for an hour and leave comments is gone.
I mean it’s not like a sane person would pay their own money to buy anything HP.
Still, I’ve been using HP laptops for 8+ hours a day in the last 5 years due to work, without having a choice.
Please do that!
It is known
I’m sorry, but that is just not accurate (they also shoot your dog, when they try to enter the wrong house)
This is very true. I have always dreamed to have a job like I have now, my wife and I make nearly 250k EUR together. Of course taxes take a large part of it, but what is left still doesn’t feel as much as I thought it would. We can live a comfortable life, but if we start thinking about buying a house or having children, the math gets difficult.
It’s hard to complain about this, as I know the realities of most people are vastly different. The key thing is, I feel like we’ve been fed a lie, as we worked crazy hard and progressed well in our careers, yet we still can’t seem to reach the lifestyle that came easy to many a few decades ago (e.g. owning your own house with a garden).
Like we need more keyword-optimized trash contant on that shithole of a site.
GenAI could have great use cases for LI (e.g. TLDR of posts/articles), but that won’t make you click on more spam, so we get this.
Great summary, I wish all the WFH fanatics would read and understand this. I really hate how in most online spaces they make it seem like 100% WFH is the answer for everything.
US prices are/were crazy. In my EU country we payed like 20-30 for hundreds of channels
I have 20 days a year to work anywhere from EU. I mostly use it to go back to my home country and meet friends & family, without having to use up vacation days.
It’s a process. Memes are the lowest common denominator, will get a lot of ppl on the site, then small communities will grow. Some are already useful, I curate a list that I follow and see when I open my app, and I can already see world news like the Italy heatwave, actor strike, etc. at the top. Not perfect, but already beter than 1 week ago.
What a joke of an article. Claw hands? Wtf?
Some people have been working remotely for decades, they are fine.
