Not quite. You need to run a cable from a PoE(power over Ethernet) port on a capable switch to each pie. You just need power to the switch and the switch will power all the pis through their own individual cable. You are only limited to the power supply on the switch you use.
Allows me to run my pis in my rack with only one cable for network and power. It’s how I run all my SoCs, I hate cable management, so I reduce cables as much as possible.
I know there are third party solutions, just waiting for what they said would be coming soon when they announced the pi 5. That was almost a year ago now, right?

I made a pretty good impromptu firearm with some pipe I got at Home Depot when I was a young one. Did some major damage to some fruit and trees, and that thing was reusable over many months. Has any 3d printed firearm lasted more than a few rounds? Barrier for entry was already low when you don’t need to be carded to buy black powder. Making it harder for people to buy a tool that is mainly used by dads to fix shit around the house just seems like overkill and a very slippery slope.
But not for any of the equipment you would need to make a real, metal weapon.
I wish I could wrap my head around openSCAD. I have seen what it can do, I just can’t think in those dimensions when I’m drafting something.
I would gladly pay $299 once for security updates only and unlimited support, no feature updates. I just don’t want to pay $299 every twelve months.
I have regrettably moved to Onshape as well. Closest to fusion and free as long as you’re just making things for your own use. OpenSCAD is powerful, but I can’t get past the learning curve. Wish I could use it though. One day, maybe.
