Currently? Not at all. I’ve been trying to fix my AIO via docker behind a cloudflare tunnel. It was working, then an update broke the communication between the Apache container and cloudflared. Their support forums have been condescending and unhelpful.

In the past I’ve run the TrueNAS app deployment but a change in the way data is stored messed up that install before I moved to AIO. I’ve tried going back to the TrueNAS app, but can’t get it to start. I believe that it is probably something related to the previous install, but have not had a lot of time to figure it out.

If this make nextcloud not a fragile house of cards, sign me up

Yeah, I have a Radicale server running as I’m trying to see what I can do with Opencloud, but for ease for everyone to see the calendar, something hosted to view the calendar via web browser would be great. It’s such a shame that the most fragile thing in the world is Nextcloud behind a proxy of some sort. My problem is that the Apache container is refusing to communicate with cloudflare tunnel. If I point the tunnel to the AIO master container, it works flawless as far as getting to the container management web page.

I’m firmly of the opinion that government regulations create monopolies. Before all the car safety and fuel efficiency regulations there were many car manufacturers in the US. Then as more regulations were added over time, we were down to just 3 manufacturers and they all made shitboxes in the 80s and 90s that didn’t last and nobody liked and gave rise to foreign manufacturers coming in and eating the big 3’s lunch.

My point is that the big 3 were the only ones that could afford those regulations and were also the ones to lobby the government to pass those regulations to drive their competitors out or force mergers. Advancements in safety and fuel efficiency would have happened anyway. This is the case where advertising can be actually helpful by showing off their products advancement in safety and efficiency to drive their sales. Volvo giving away their patent for seatbelts is another example of a way way to get goodwill and generate sales from that goodwill while keeping competition healthy.

The whole idea of libertarianism is to take the power away from government and abolish it so that the people can be left the fuck alone. The government is just another monopoly in my view especially in the area of currency and violence.

I’m still leery after coming over from a TrueNAS app deployment of NC that crashed and I was never able to get back running. Docker AIO has been good so far, but NC is the reason I validate backups.

I’m interested to know what power company doesn’t give price for a kWh nor how many kWh you used in a billing period. It was essential when I made the switch to an EV and had to show my wife how much money we saved with electric vs gasoline.

If you don’t know what your electric appliance uses to cook, you can get energy monitors that can give you the exact amount. I have an emporia car charger and a plug monitor for my mower batteries. It’s as simple as setting you electricity rate in the app and setting the view to currency costs. Here’s my recent usage for mowing my yard ~2 acres:

It usually costs me $0.30 to mow and trim a week compared to gasoline equivalent of my old mower and trimmer of just over a gallon per week. I pay $0.14478/kWh where I live, gas is currently $2.899/ gal. The break even for my car in efficiency is gasoline has to be around $1.50/gal iirc.
