Not sure if it’s directly related, but I donate to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). They’re quite active in the technology space and I feel that they also carry the FOSS ethos.

Work is going to start providing lunch for all employees every working day, so I expect I’m gonna have to have a resolution to actively hit the gym more than I do now. I’ve always been a bit stingy with my portions for lunch which helps me to keep thinner, but if work has a nice hot lunch every day I am going to have to work harder.
I tried to cross post it here: https://lemmy.world/post/22093917
Not sure if I did it correctly, though
I don’t think so, I had to go in and do the song and dance with changing a config file. Reposting this comment here for posterity.

.Not without significant hurdles due to Amazon’s (very intentionally crafted) walled garden. You’re locked in by the file format as well as Amazon’s DRM. If you do anything to bypass this, it’s technically illegal as a violation of the DMCA.
My last eReader purchase was the Kobo Clara 2E and it’s fantastic. I got one for my dad as well. I love the fact that you can use it completely offline and without any account.
Then they announced a partnership with IFixIt, and that cemented for me (barring any changes), that my next eReader will also be another Kobo… though with this partnership I expect that to be a long time down the road.
Vaultwarden is only the server, no? So any clients that you use to access Vaultwarden are built and maintained by 8bit solutions a.k.a. Bitwarden, including the desktop client that is the subject of this post.
Yeah it’s very surprising to me as well. As a life-long resident of one of the states mentioned, having lived in both major cities as well and small-medium towns, I don’t think I’ve experienced this “aggression”
I set mine to

I just hate the dragging of the wire on anything that might be in the way. I go wireless for keyboard and mouse whenever possible.
Any good password manager nowadays also has an account takeover feature if you opt in. Basically your spouse / child / parent can take over your account to recover it for you if you can’t get in.
I’m like 99% sure that goes against PCI compliance, they could get slapped pretty hard with some fines or lose the ability to take cards at all.

I think Washington state has outlawed them except for things like safety signs and I think that’s great.
This is from like 15 years ago, so maybe it’s not true anymore.
I need to start doing this more… “Active” starts to get pretty stale.
Our family is an Apple family and I’ve found the Sonos works quite well with AirPlay… just cast to everything in the house and the Sonos and the AirPods HomePods all work together seamlessly.
Very exciting news… I’m the tech support for the family and I just can’t yet recommend argon as the hashing algorithm for everyone yet because they’ve said there’s a few potential hiccups. Looking forward to something snappier.
