Generally you want to the reference material used to improve that first version to be correct though. Otherwise it’s just swapping one problem for another.
I wouldn’t use a textbook that was 52% incorrect, the same should apply to a chatbot.
The Cravendale adverts have escalated a bit I see.
Compiz won over so many new users back then. Wobbly windows and desktop cubes may not have been super practical, but they sure looked impressive.
Invisible keyboard guy is missing a finger, guy in the top right appears to be missing a face.
The mess of cables is on point though.
Reminds me a bit of the 90s series Street Sharks.
In terms of privacy in public, the Vision Pro isn’t much different from Google Glass. Both have video recording capabilities, and both displayed some form of indication when recording.
The only real difference is that the Vision Pro is easier to spot in public due to the bulkier design.
It will be interesting to see if there will be similar “Glasshole” reaction to the Vision Pro once they are seen in public enough.
Have you visited a website without an ad blocker recently? Because typical web advertising has become as intrusive and annoying as technically possible, and millions of people willingly accept that.
VR/AR/Spatial Whatever has the potential to be just as bad, if not far worse.
There was an fun old RTS based on this sort of concept called Impossible Creatures, the player creates an army of genetically combined animals.
That would have been a big improvement for homelab uses, but it’s probably considered a niche feature overall, hence the PoE Hat.
I’m wondering how it will work now they are pushing a dedicated cooler however. The PoE Hat has a little fan but doesn’t allow for heatsink. Perhaps there will be a new Pi5 PoE Hat.
EDIT: The PoE header on the Pi 5 has been moved, so a new PoE HAT will be required, but has not been announced yet.
Availability has been improving recently, at least in my country (UK).
While the hardware specs are often more compelling, the problem I find with the Pi alternatives is they usually depend on custom images and kernels. Pi hardware may be less ideal but I feel more confident it will have lasting software support.
This post is truly glorious, this should be the founding exhibit of the museum of Lemmy.
I am truly grateful to witness this moment.
In case OP is still with us, my advice would be anti diarrhoea medication, consume minimum liquids, avoid fibre, pack MREs which are often formulated to be a bit constipating. But above all, question why on earth you would be doing this in the first place!
The Pico 2 board is still using a Micro USB connector, would have been nice to see that changed to USB C.
