  • iCloud Keychain. Has the ability to store 2FA codes and pull them up automatically. GitHub also supports passkeys so most times I just log in with my biometrics or user pass and don’t have to worry about the added layer.

I’m fine with regular 2FA. What I can’t abide is having to use proprietary apps, like Blizzard’s battle net. Steam too.

Passkeys are the future but still a ways off.

Wild tho that you don’t have any other accounts needing 2FA? That’s scary to me as that added security goes a long ass way in regards to hardening your secuity.

  • They have a new commercial out. The dude falls back on his couch and makes the movie that’s sitting on his ceiling, bigger.

I was like ok that would be cool. Being able to watch something without having to face it, it faces you. But maybe in 10 years when it’s the size of eye glasses and lasts all day and we can have spatial cinema where you can move in between things. Then. Fuck yeah.

  • People who don’t touch open source are mouth breathers. So next time someone says they won’t use it because it’s FOSS, you know who the weakest link in the building is.

As others have mentioned, it’s more secure code because it’s freely available. With closed source, you have no idea whats going on.

Look at it this way. FOSS is like a real safe. You can see it. Touch it. Kick it. Punch it. Closed source is like a blanket and I tell you there’s a safe under there. No you can’t touch it or see it. Trust me tho, there’s a safe.

Which would you store your money in?
