Wait, the problem you’re stating isn’t corporate ownership, but ownership in general? Then what’s the personal property?
Wait, the problem you’re stating isn’t corporate ownership, but ownership in general? Then what’s the personal property?
So you’re saying it is possible then? That was my only hangup. I don’t have a position on whether we have free will (leaning towards not) for the exact reason we can’t prove it.
How would perceived irrationality be counter to a deterministic universe? It just maybe seems irrational without all of the information, but is still perfectly part of the causal chain.
No issues for me either. Galaxy S20
Maybe a stretch as it’s not parodying a song but parodies Star Wars kinda sorta? Seagulls! (Stop it Now)
Lonely Island has a few (Jack Sparrow) comes to mind but again not a direct parody of a specific song.
Richard Cheese does straight up covers but they are so stylistically different that it’s basically a parody. Chop Suey
Then there’s the classic comedy music duos: Garfunkel & Oates (Loophole), Flight of the Conchords (Business Time)
Bo Burnham’s whole Inside special is fantastic too.
Looks like I’m mostly listing comedy music and not necessarily parodies, but oh well.
This is something I think about from time to time and essentially get nowhere.
I try and live-capture and release bugs from my house (the only things I actively kill in this regard is mosquitos).I also hunt/fish.
If I saw a deer trapped on a frozen lake I’d go out and rescue it, yet I’d shoot that same deer in a different place under a different context. It’s not really consistent, except in intentionality I suppose.
I do place a higher value on the life of animals that are more “intelligent” (in a way that feels more human) compared to other animals. For example, I’m not upset at all when I use hand sanitizer and presumably wipe out a whole swath of life, but I’m sad if a bird hits a window and dies. Part of that is the intentionality again maybe? The bacteria “had” to die, and the bird didn’t; I’d feel less bad about the bird if I saw a natural predator take it down but it’s still more upsetting than even unintentionally killing an insect.
I already do. I also want to pay my way.
The problem is what I’d like doesn’t exist (I’m not going to subscribe you a million different websites and still not even be ad free) and probably can’t. How much do all the ads I’m blocking cost? It’d be ripe for abuse but I’d essentially like a taxi meter, but it would charge me for website use from just one central account that I top up or is part of my internet bill or whatever.
I want the whole business model of using ads and tracking to pay for the internet to not exist.
Yes I’m also the same way with ads. I’d happily spend more for internet if there was somehow an “ad surcharge” that would mean I’d never see ads or be tracked. Let me pay whatever the advertisers pay.
Same here. I was able to tap the sliver of a button successfully at least
Find any decent sized packages? Here it seems they individually wrap them in plastic trays with like 5g servings it’s ridiculous. No, I’m not just going to have 5g! Give me more
Sounds like The Mirror Has Two Faces
If the movie is anything to go by, the secret will come out and there will be a fight but you’ll also fall in love and become attracted to them before the credits roll
Helico-pter
Second this. It’s also way better than Google maps for downloading and using maps outside of cell service too. I’ve noticed it’s got lots of hiking trails as well
I’ve been noticing this too! It’s weird scrolling down to something I’ve already voted on
Tip for next time: shine a bright light across the wall to cast shadows and really emphasize any imperfections. I do this while sanding, and circle with pencil anything that needs another coat of mud to fix then go back and take care of those.
I was imagining an awning or something that was being set up when it rained
I might have to agree with that other commenter that maybe new terms are needed just for clarity of communication, at least with those outside the movement.
In my mind, personal property would be a subset of private property so getting rid of the larger set necessarily includes the subset.
So personal property as you’re using it presumably has a maximum allowable level? Or just as long as it’s for your personal use? No rental houses for example, but a vacation home would be ok?
