I don’t have a Rotate, but if I did that leather would be pretty nice to have. Do they make anything like that for the Retroid Pocket Classic by any chance?

31·8 days agoI was out of the loop on the camera rumours, so I thought it was a tiny camera for your ear hole or something weird like that. Definitely don’t need more cameras filming us.
Ok, well now this is just spam.

Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft Office 2019 for Mac Will Soon Stop Letting You Edit DocumentsEnglish
9·3 months agoI use it pretty regularly at home, and haven’t seen anything that significant other than the premium templates being highlighted in the sidebar when you create a new document.
I did run into a scenario where you had the option to preview smart features while editing thereby showing you how it could be applicable in the immediate short term, but then annoyingly removed the data entered if you didn’t want to subscribe. Otherwise it works about the same as you’d come to expect the software to run.

56·4 months agoTMTG is also active in financial services, and the company announced US$2.5 billion in funding a year ago to invest in cryptocurrencies, one of Trump’s recent passions.
According to its filing, TMTG generated US$900,000 in revenue during the first quarter, a paltry amount for a company valued at US$2.47 billion on the stock market.
And suspiciously interesting,
TMTG said in December that it is merging with the American company TAE, which is developing nuclear fusion technology.

2·4 months agoI originally interpreted the lyrics as a view of commodified education where the prerequisite for a lot of jobs nowadays require a degree or two just to get past the AI review process.
I didn’t mean to come off as knocking the pursuit of higher education. I mean I probably deserve it quoting a Kanye song! My wife has applied for her Masters next year, and I’m looking into the process of upgrading my advanced diploma into a degree myself. It just makes me laugh with frustration at how the ladder for success keeps adding rungs the higher you climb it.

413·4 months agoThis sort of reminds me of that Kanye West School Spirit Skit about learning:
You keep it going man, you keep those books rolling
You pick up those books you’re going to read
And not remember, and you roll man
You get that associate’s degree, okay
Then you get your bachelor’s, then you get your master’s
Then you get your master’s masters
Then you get your doctorate
You go man, and then when everybody says quit
You show them those degrees man
When everybody says, "hey, you’re not working
“You’re not making any money”
You say, “look at my degrees and you look at my life
Yeah, I’m 52, so what?”
Hate all you want
But I’m smart, I’m so smart, and I’m in school
These guys are out here, huh
Making money all these ways, and I’m spending mine to be smart
You know why?
Because when I die, buddy
You know what’s gonna keep me warm?
That’s right, those degrees
There’s actually a term for this kind of behaviour. It’s called a desire path.

Support is kind of topical at the moment if you’re deep into the Kindle Store. Honestly, it’s bullshit to get you to buy a new device.
Kindle e-readers and Kindle Fire tablets from 2012 or before will no longer have access to the Kindle Store to buy, borrow, or download new books or content.
Which models are losing support?
- Kindle Paperwhite 1st Generation (2012)
- Kindle 5 (2012)
- Kindle Touch (2011)
- Kindle 4 (2011)
- Kindle Keyboard (2010)
- Kindle DX and DX Graphite (2009 and 2010)
- Kindle 1st Generation (2007)
- Kindle Fire HD 8.9 (2012)
- Kindle Fire HD 7 (2012)
- Kindle Fire 2nd Gen (2012)
- Kindle Fire 1st Gen (2011)

I honestly really like what this guy carries, but $95 CAD (before taxes and duties) for a case is personally way outside of my budget.
