The videos would be smaller, or the phone would have to be huge. I can already multitask on my phone, an oval shaped phone would be incredibly impractical. A notch/cutout isn’t a big deal, it just sits in the notification bar and phones didnt even used to have screen there anyway.
Phones getting too big is why they are harder to use one handed, not because they are rectangular.

They are peak Ubisoft and the only games I’d say fall close to ‘must-play’.
Can’t really compare from that long ago, given the current economical situation and inflation.
But it’s also better hardware, they still sell older models too, so if you don’t need the performance increase then there’s cheaper options still available (and different models to further narrow down to what you need it for). I think they are defo worth $60.

But subreddits like pics doing the john oliver thing are completely missing the point, reddit dont care if they do that, it’s still getting thousands of views and upvotes because its ‘cool and funny’, its such a ‘we did it reddit’ moment. Just stop using reddit, let the subreddits go to shit with no moderation, make a sticky linking to alternatives.
But one thing it also demonstrated was peoples will for power and recognition, no matter how small. They enjoy being mods, it makes them feel above others, so there will always be someone willing to trade morals to take the position.
