OpenStreetMap has been going for almost 20 years now. It’s a very well known open map data platform. Like Wikipedia, anyone can edit OSM map data, and all of the data is freely available for anyone to use.

I’ve been considering paying for Premium, for largely the reasons you mention.

One question I have is, as a Premium user, do you have to disable ad block/uBlock on Youtube so that YT can track which videos you watch and pay the creators accordingly?

I think it’s polite to tell what you have changed when you edit a post as long as the platform does not have edit history visible (which as far as I can tell Lemmy does not).
