Those stairs have a bullnose that juts out and the whole thing is made from mortar. Mortar is very strong in compression but weak in tension. So a load on the tip of the stairs will put a large tension load on the top of that bullnose where it meets the stair corner. At some point it will break off.

You can definitely glue it back. It just won’t ever be permanent. Those stairs are made to break.

Unfortunately those bullnose tiles are always going to be prone to breaking off because they’re jutting out from the stair and are built from materials that are strong in compression, not tension.

Clean the edges and glue them on. Expect them to fail again.

I’ve been using ublock origin for the longest time. Set it up in advanced mode and block all 3rd party domains by default. I know it can block individual line items during the js interpretation stage based on matches to plugins like anti-malware scripts. I tend to whitelist some domains I trust on all domains and I’ll even blacklist some domains I don’t ever trust on other domains (like facebook and anything with px in the name).

Ultimately - the more protection you put in place, the more likely you will stand out to fingerprinting. They don’t give a shit about user agent descriptions. They look at things like how does your browser render a semi-transparent pixel when aliased ontop of something else. What HTML5 Canvas features does your browser support. Attempt to run this list of scripts and see which ones fail. All of that helps make a non-unique print of your browser that hints at an identity even without your Windows Device ID.

Those things aren’t as rugged as they imply. Go for a brief jaunt and skip a little while swinging it by the handle. It’ll turn into a laptop shaped projectile and leave a dent in both the ground and your wallet.

I switched over all my devices to 24 hour - phone, computers, cars, etc. I even change the settings on my wife’s phone sometimes. It’s so much easier to mentally read.
