I think I’m very much a generalist, but the areas in deep on I’m much deeper than others.
But that means as companies get bigger they want more specialists and i end up less valuable as I’m just filling in gaps.
Makes finding those good companies harder, but I’m more valuable to small companies than hiring 3-4 people, so I can command good pay.
Networking in university got me my first jobs and they were very good starting jobs.
I don’t mean you have to go out and be fake, but get involved in a bunch of stuff, and make sure to check if your department has any corporate relationships you can use.
Meeting people pays the best dividends in life.

Some people fall into the lifestyle creep trap and get accustomed to spending what they make. If you make 2x average and live relatively normally you’ll find your savings grow quick.
Even if you do make good money, it’s best not to let that go to your head.

No one has ever fixed their lives after 20. It only gets worse if you’re not rich as a teenager or popular online before then. Everything after 20 is just drug addiction and fighting.
That’s just not true. I was an unemployed drop out fire a while in my early 20s and got married and bought a house at 30.
My brother was a single father with a useless degree working part time at a pizza chain at 20. Through most of his 20’s he worked for a temp agency making minimum wage. Around 30 he found a job in a machine shop and they paid for his apprenticeship and now he’s their top employee. He’s in his late 30s now and is the happiest I’ve ever seen him.
Another brother I have failed a bunch of high school classes, barely graduated, then turned a crappy construction job into becoming a union carpenter in his 20s. He owns a house, got back together his high school girlfriend. They have 3 kids and are a very happy family now.

I would go with the bulbs
The fixtures are nice but they can have high failure rates and are more difficult to replace, as you have to replace the whole unit.
Bulbs on the other hand are easy to replace if they fail, they’re standardized so anyone can walk to the store and pick up an A19 60W equivalent.
I don’t know anything about the trades, but this looks about as good as I’ve ever seen in new apartment buildings or expensive offices.

My first camera was the D60! I loved that thing!
I finished some painting and if I say so myself did an excellent job, so I’m happy. Doing it myself was a way cheaper and better job than the painters I hired last time I painted.
I have to replace a closet door and that’s stressing me out. I’m not sure if they discontinued my old door in my size or if I’m measuring it wrong.
I might just try repairing the old door but it’s pretty messed up.
