Neighbor puts toilets in their yard facing other neighbors house. That neighbor builds a fence so they don’t have to look at the toilets. Original neighbor then hangs toilets from the tree so it is visible over the fence. Cue complaints to get toilets removed by city/county.
I believe the original dispute had to do with tearing out a shared bush and parking on lawn, but I don’t recall the details.
Oh fun. $330k for a 500sqft shack that is partially collapsed. The only info on the listing states the lot will need to be scraped, so basically that is the cost of an empty lot.
Going out a bit further, you can find a couple of houses around $350k that are liveable. They are 700-900 sqft and 0-2 bedrooms.

This is pretty niche, but I’m in a casual curling league and nearly everyone is over 40. Everyone there is super welcoming and friendly.
Asking where you are from is pretty normal conversation, especially if you have a noticeable accent. Asking where your parents/grandparents/etc are from is less common. Are you by chance not-white? Sometimes these sorts of questions have a race element to them
Or perhaps, I’m pretty sure I want kids but am scared of being wrong.
In my head, we’re in a great position. Good jobs with great parental leave (for the US), own our house that has plenty of room to grow, family support nearby, etc.
My heart is less certain of what it wants.
Don’t have kids unless you want them
This is the source of my angst. How can I know if I truly want them or if I’ve just internalized societies expectations of me? Especially since I can’t truly make an educated choice given I don’t know how my life will change after, only that it will.
I’m really just an incredibly indecisive person and making these sort of life changing decisions that you can’t take back is impossible.
I had a professor in college who intentionally got infected by a bot fly to see what it was like. That’s dedication.
Lasik. Being able to wake up in the morning and just see things with zero effort was life changing.
The same way I always do. Ignore as much of it as I can until I get my ballot.

Most people I know with taxidermy are hunters. So it is more “Let me relax in a space full of the creatures I’ve murdered.”

As an American, this is 100% my favorite TV show. I’m so happy they got the rights to release every episode on YouTube the day after it airs.

I once knew someone who refused to tell anyone the name they chose before the baby was born (absolutely valid choice, IMO). The grandpa-to-be chose to exclusively refer to the fetus as Beelzebub.

Check for extension courses or certificate programs at universities. Most schools provide online options for many courses (I got a mostly online MBA pre-COVID from my local university when I was making a career change).

I honestly can’t do oatmeal with peanut butter. Every time I’ve tried it, it makes me gag. Not sure what it is, since I enjoy both separately.
