Reminds me of the informal study where people kept choosing pizza that came in more/smaller slices because they thought it was more pizza.

I’ve seen a few caps like this, maybe not more impractical. I think it is asking to rip the stem right out of the switch or tear the whole socket out, but hey, what do i know?
Asus makes a slim 8x external DVD burner that rips CDs very well in Linux, comes with usb-c and usb-a (double connectors.)
Question: Are we being thrown in to the game as one of the other existing characters?
If so, then it really matter which character.
If I am Linus I try to get a shave and maybe a checkup at a free clinic. It’s a long road ahead.
If I am Abigail, I play some Chrono Trigger and do some sword practice.
If I am the Mayor, I GET MY GOD DAMNED UNDERWEAR BACK! :)
As long as it scaled to reasonably the same price as current meat, I’d absolutely do it unless there were some significant downsides like it somehow being even worse for the environment.
I didn’t like big picture mode from the TV much, especially for media. I stuck with just using a lighter DE (Mate in my case) with some tweaks to make it easier to read from the couch and use a wireless smaller keyboard and trackball.
I had to give up my retro game collection when I moved and I realized how long overdue it was. I hope someone out there is enjoying my old consoles and games.
Finally a use for the Mr Fusion I got off that old Delorean!
It is no coincidence that the 980 ti was the last top end GPU I purchased from Nvidia. Their greed is out of control and I can’t believe a meaningful number of people have gone along with it.
Theft of both food and desk items was a huge issue at two different large office jobs I had. In the second one, HR and management didn’t care until someone stole the electronics from the break room and they finally put up cameras. I think the correlation is that those big offices had large phone sales and support staff that works in the building. Those roles underpaid, under-appreciated, and have high turnover. I can definitely see some of those people being on their last rope and not giving a shit about stealing from either the company or people they feel have “cushy” jobs.
Making inedible or spicy food to catch a food thief is a trick as old as time and I have even done it myself. There is no other way to catch them out usually.
Someone else in the comments mentioned it is about 40% faster than the AVX-2 code and slightly more than twice as fast as the SSE3 code. That’s still a nice boost, but hopefully no one was relying on the radically slow unoptimized baseline.
I avoid keyboards with the rotary knobs since I always use an amp and audio interface, but I get the vibe. All the knobs and dials make me feel like one of those sound mixer guys.
I have seen them twice in the last year, but it was only a single bug each time. A sad lightning bug trying to find others to mate… I didn’t see another one around it.
Mine would probably be my ghetto breakfast sandwiches. I usually throw a little shredded cheese, diced onion, and hot peppers into a coffee mug and crack and egg into it and then scramble it. Microwave that for a min while i toast an English muffin or bagel. Then put it together with maybe a thin slice of ham. Excellent breakfast sandwich. People think I’m nuts for making the eggs in a microwave, but it works well, has an easy cleanup, and is super quick in the mornings before work.
quickadilla
While never calling it your excellent “quickadilla” name, I have been doing that with leftover beef and chicken taco ingredients for years. It also works well with some leftover Asian and Indian dishes.
Beholders and Mind Flayers are probably my favorites. As a bonus, whenever someone says “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” I can’t help but ask “but which eye? They have so many!”
Most grocery stores sell alcohol in Florida, but only the beer and while variety. Hard liquor is only available in liquor stores. FL is actually a lot less restricted on that than many other states.
Good question and I have a hard time nailing it down to a single pizza.
For the pizza style it has to be either New York style or Detroit Style.
For toppings, it is either pepperoni and black olives, sliced meatball and banana peppers, or rarely since most places don’t make it this way, a buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese (NOT ranch) instead of marinara and hot sauce.
Other than customization, which honestly will always be cumbersome, it sounds like your issues are with the key caps, switches, and layout. I suspect you will get used to the lay out, but I have no patience for switches or caps I don’t like. Normally, I’d say that you should just swap out the key caps and/or switches and most of the problems you mention go away, but the Q1 has a far less common layout so that makes replacing the key caps more of an issue. I am not a fan of the stock caps on the Keychron either and I’d have already had replacement caps lines up if I bought one.
In the end, the Q1 is expensive enough that if you are not liking it, I’d return it and get something else. There is no way I’d personally go for a “regular keyboard” (by which I assume you mean a cheap rubber dome keyboard), but I’d probably get one that had a more standard layout and maybe something a little smaller since you are used to using a laptop.
