Like if you know the exact duration it can be programmed to skip that much when you do a keystroke or something?

If your files have chapters there might be a chapter that starts right after the theme and you could use the Next Chapter button to skip ahead. If there aren’t chapters you could add them yourself.
If you’re binging a particular show and you know the exact length of the intro, just set that value as the long skip and use the relevant keyboard shortcut every time.
Its always different (the cold opening) so I think the set time skip keystroke is going to be the way
I think there’s a VLC extension that does it, if the chapter markers exist in the file.
