It happens so many times that I enter Jerboa to read a (random) post, exit to go somewhere else and if I want to go back to that first post I can’t ever ever ever find it. For example I was reading the post What apps would you love to have open-source alternatives for? on opensource@lemmy.ml, I went to search something on Firefox, when I went back on Jerboa the post wasn’t there anymore. I went into the community, scrolled and nothing; I’ve changed the view from hot to new, to all the possibility, but nothing. Searching returns no results. I switched to the Thunder app, searching for the title I’ve found it, when I exit that post and tried to search it again, well, guess what…I couldn’t find it anymore 😭 What the heck, why? What could I possibly be doing wrong?
Do you have the setting that hides read posts turned on?

I’ve never thought about that, but looking at Thunder settings I can just see Dim Read Posts (I’ve tried to turn it off, but with no results). I can’t see a similar option in Jerboa

If it’s not showing up when you view the community then it’s likely a setting hiding viewed/voted on posts as was suggested.
