They need to run this thing through the genetic algorithms a bit longer, that shuffle is pretty janky. It could be really impressive if the movement were a bunch smoother. But as it is, it moves like a windup toy.
I think it is because it is so heavy in the rear end and cannot move the back ‘legs’ effectively without falling backwards. Maybe it could walk on three fingers and shift the mass forward.
Yeah, if they could reduce the weight, or even the volume of the wrist, that would shift the center of mass forward and could significantly improve balance.
