minus-squareusualsuspect191@lemmy.caOPlinkfedilinkarrow-up17arrow-down2·edit-222 hours agoSure, but this stuff is like triple the density of oil if 4 tsp is 60g
minus-squarepotate@lemmy.calinkfedilinkarrow-up28·16 hours ago60g of oil is 540 kcal-ish. The chili pepper is comparatively calorie free, so yea, 440kcal makes total sense. Is it the tsp that’s throwing you off? I think there’s a typo - 4 tbsp would be about 60g. 4tsp I would expect to be about 20g. I way prefer dealing in mass for cooking and baking personally…
minus-squareLogi@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up7·15 hours agoIt is broken down into 43g fat, 10g cars and 4g protein. Using another commenter’s numbers of 9kcal/g for fat and 4kcal/g for the others gives 443 kcal. So yeah, well within margin.
minus-squarea_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·4 hours agoDang. Wouldn’t have expected that either. Then again, I don’t use a ton on food because I don’t want things to be sopping in oil.
minus-squaredeegeese@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkarrow-up13arrow-down1·edit-222 hours ago4 tablespoons is 2 oz is 60g.

minus-squaredeegeese@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkarrow-up31·19 hours agoIt also says 60g, which maths with everything else. Minor translation error on units they don’t use in China.
minus-squareboonhet@sopuli.xyzlinkfedilinkarrow-up15·20 hours agoProbably an error and they accidentally calculated for 4 tablespoons instead of 4 teaspoons.
