I occasionally do the later, I always give a “take this with a pinch of salt” kinda thing because I know from personal experience LLMs love to spew out complete garbage.

I only ever use it for surface level yes/no type questions. The sort of thing that a 5 year old bothers their Dad about, inconsequential trivia.

The reason I first used it was they had a way to bypass the limited list of extensions that Mozilla allowed to be installed but this is no longer an issue so no real idea what the benefit is anymore. I’d guess at disabled telemetry but don’t quote me on that.

I switched to Ironfox a while back but still keep fennec around for the occasional site that Ironfox breaks.

That reminds me of my (Scottish) cousin’s marriage to his Korean wife. The place settings at the dinner had transliterated versions of our names in to Hangul. I’m sure it was largely done for the non-English speakers present but I thought it was a really nice touch.

It was really interesting to observe how some names could be approximated with a single character whilst others (including myself) had to be brute forced with 4+.
