Had this local lumber yard trying to charge me $100 A BOARD FOR 8 FT PIECES!!!

It’s wavy cedar siding. It’s actually pretty common here up northern US.

I can’t imagine that price is right. I could see $50 or $60. Or is lumber really that insane?

I just need like 4 of them for a repair…

    People can ask for whatever they want to ask.

    I’m willing to bet that if you go looking around you would be able to find it cheaper. You might also have some luck with such a small order at a restore or a second-hand home supply seller, or by searching Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace and other things like that.
