They dont do so until their economy and currency hits some benchmarks. The uk ciuld purposely try not to, but they are already stable and developed.

Since the maastricht treaty in 1992, all new member states are obliged to join the euro. They dont do so until their economy and currency hits some benchmarks. The uk ciuld purposely try not to, but they are already stable and developed.
