Whats With Andy
The absolute little-bastardry showcased was legendary!
Ren and Stimpy had some pretty fucked up animation.
True, but it also wasn’t intended for young kids.
SUUUUUUUrre…
Rocco’s Modern Life
To be fair, it was not originally even intended for children.
Oh my god it was so fucked.
Of the target audience was college stoners so…
It played during the afternoon on nickleodeon.
I’m not seeing how this excludes the college stoner demographic
Young adults arent not children in a way. Thry know nothing lol
Happy Tree Friends was broadcasted in Australia once. Once.
All of the Disney movies that taught little girls that their highest ambition should be to marry into the monarchy. Cinderella is garbage, Disney ruined the Little Mermaid by taking the gay out of it, Beauty and the Beast is highly questionable despite having the best protagonist out of the old movies by virtue of being a woman with a personality. Frozen deconstructed the patriarchal tropes to a degree but ultimately engaged in them. Brave is… Actually, Brave is the only good one where the main character is a princess. Merida is awesome because she doesn’t want to be a princess, she wants to be a badass archer. Brave gets a pass. But Moana and Encanto are great because they take the format out of the monarchy and into a 21st century where women can be community leaders, standing on their own merits, leading through their personal resilience and empathy. We need more movies like Encanto and less movies like Frozen.
We should be teaching little girls to be leaders, not princesses. A princess’s job is to be married off to secure a political alliance through continuing a bloodline. They’re bougie prostitutes. That’s NOT appropriate for children. A leader like Moana or Mirabel listens, questions, decides, and inspires. These are the qualities we should be teaching to the next generation. I would support reclassifying the old Disney movies as suitable for older age groups. Small children don’t have the critical thinking to look at these historical works without absorbing their outdated values.

The original cartoons were made to be shown to all audiences in theaters.
They were supposed to be silly enough for kids, but were basically aimed at the people paying for the tickets.
Probably controversial, but Courage the Cowardly dog lol. It was pretty deranged for a kid’s show, but I loved it for that. It was easy to miss the lessons each episode tried to teach behind all the deranged shit like massive poisonous spiders popping out of drains, dogs turned into flies and preventing satellites from crashing back down to earth, and my personal favorite: eggplant cults.
This might be the first time I’ve seen anyone bring up What’s With Andy. I loved that show.
Can’t say that I have heard of it.
Its goddamn delightful. Theme song bitchin slapz Holy fuck
Ten and stumpy rocks modern life.
Should I call an ambulance?
