my mom: marco
dad: cernunnos of all names
Fred. I don’t know why.
if i was afab i was going to be bethany so when i transitioned i added the middle name elizabeth/beth so my mum can have her choice too :)
I don’t know what my parents had planned, but my sister thought she was finally going to get a sister. (Not sure if my parents thought that or if she came up with the theory on her own.) As a result, when I was born a boy, she apparently carried me around the neighborhood telling all the neighbors that I was her new sister Katie.
Emily if I had been a girl, and that wouldn’t have been so bad.
Had I been twin boys though… Tharan and Thurlow. WTF??
My sister wanted to call me Cinderella whatever the gender.
Tony. Not a fan
😐
Does the N stand for notafan?
/jk
I’m trans and I asked my mom and apparently Stephanie and I am definitely not a Stephanie and I physically felt ill for a second after hearing that. Why Stephanie?? Why mom???
Heather. Always figured if I were trans I might use it. Cis af tho
Mine was Heather too, but I ended up being trans so I actually used it.
Always good to have a backup name!
Hey, men can be called Heather if they want.
Sure, but I’m happy with my given name. I guess I meant I might take the other name if I disliked my given name.
They gave my younger sister a traditionally masculine name, so apparently they were already out of ideas on that score.
A lot of names can be converted. My favorite uncle gave his oldest daughter a pretty name, but he wanted a son to name after himself. They quit after having two girls, and he named his youngest girl after himself, with the name converted to the feminine variety.
They only thought of boy names for me, so nothing on that front, but my dad wanted to name my sister Preston Thor [last name] which is terrible
Probably my sisters name :)
Probably Margaret or a variation thereupon, there’s at least two in every generation. That’s what I named my daughter.
Gender isn’t a binary, so there isn’t necessarily an opposite, but an alternative that my parents considered was “Frankie”.
