And then what? What does this accomplish? What’s the end goal beyond more suffering and radicalization?

      1. The sense of satisfaction that these assholes get what they voted for. Remember, these are the same people who do not give a shit about the suffering of other people, like woman, queers, etc.
      2. Maybe, that suffering will let them finally open their eyes, see beyond propaganda, and reduce the cult following.

The person I responded to said they want these people broken. Jobs lost, farms confiscated, essentially homeless and ruined.

77 million people voted for Trump. Roughly a third of voting age individuals. What exactly are you suggesting? Do we jail them all? Where do we put them in that case? Or should they just be executed? Concentration camps? Slave labor?

What do you suggest we do with a third of the country who have no jobs, no prospects, utterly broken, and with nothing to lose?

I don’t like these folks, but I don’t think you or the previous person I replied to are thinking through the actual ramifications here. Economically this would ruin the country even in a good economy (which this is decidedly not). This would lead to civil war as the best case scenario, and any other scenario would be either insane levels of human rights violations or downright genocide.

And on top of all that, it wouldn’t actually solve any of the issues our country is facing in the near term. It would do nothing about the ringleaders, the manipulation, the corruption. Punishing idiots and assholes is vengeance of a kind, but it’s not a solution and won’t fix anything.

All of those are insane suggestions I haven’t seen anyone make but you.

If a Trump supporter is hurt by his policies, the worst I’m going to is have zero sympathy, offer zero support and refuse to let them think anyone is at fault but themselves.
